The White House serves as the residence of The President of the United States and houses the executive office of the President. The site was selected by the first president, George Washington, and officially named the ‘White House’ by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1901. Every president since John Adams has occupied the White House. There are 132 rooms, 35 bathrooms, and 6 levels in the Residence.
The White House project included the installation of RF/IR attenuating window film to protect historic artwork from damaging ultraviolet (UV) rays. The installation of a virtually clear product was chosen so as to not jeopardize the historic look of The White House.
The White House is located at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20500.
